In order to deeply implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the spirit of the 13th Fifth CPC University Congress, and to fully promote the "New Finance and Economics" strategic upgrading of the university, on 7 April 2023, the Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Prof. He Jiaming, the Vice Dean of the School, Prof. Li Jianjun, the Director of the Master's Degree Education Centre of Taxation, Associate Prof. Hao Xiaowei, the Counsellor, Cai Huanyu, and six undergraduate students and Master's Degree students went to the research and exchange of the Sichuan Changhong Group Finance Company. Ms. Hu Jia, a Member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager and Chief Accountant of Changhong JSC, Mr. Xu Xunchang, General Manager of Changhong JSC Finance Company, and Ms. Xu Wen, General Manager of Changhong JSC's Finance Cloud Centre, as well as other leaders, welcomed the delegation and held in-depth discussions on financial informatization, digital taxation, and talent cultivation cooperation.

Changhong Group demonstrated to instructors and students the company's accomplishments in financial digitization during the investigation and exchange. They explained Changhong Finance's core business, the use of digital and information technology in finance, and financial tax innovation instances. The two sides also discussed more in-depth cooperation in case creation, topic research, nurturing and practical training of emerging financial talents, and employment of students. They also spoke about deeper cooperation in industry-education integration.

According to Dean He Jiaming, there is a trend toward the digitalization of corporate finance and taxation, and universities should adapt by offering students internship opportunities and curricula that align with the industry's expansion. Hu Jia, deputy general manager, said Changhong is keen to cooperate with the School of Public Finance and Taxation of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics to support students' practical innovation and create a link between academics and business.

In this study, teachers and students of the school also visited Changhong exhibition hall, Changhong Group Financial Cloud Centre, to see firsthand how digital information technology is used in the banking and taxation industries.
