On 9 November 2025, the final round of the Fiscal and Tax Practice Track under the 2025 Sichuan Provincial College Business Skills Competition was successfully held at the Liulin Campus of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE). The competition was sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and organized by SWUFE.

A total of 33 undergraduate institutions registered for the event, with nearly 1,500 students participating. After competitive online preliminary and semi-final rounds, ten teams advanced to the on-site final.

The final jury comprised experts from the Chengdu Municipal Tax Service, Wenjiang District Tax Bureau, tax agency firms, and related industries. The event was attended by Wu Chunli, Party Secretary of the School of Public Finance and Taxation at SWUFE, and Professor Lv Min, Vice Dean of the School.

The final consisted of two segments: case analysis, followed by presentation and defense. After intense competition, SWUFE Team II claimed the gold award. Silver awards were presented to SWUFE Team I and the Engineering Technical College of Chengdu University of Technology. Bronze awards went to teams from Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu Jincheng College, and Panzhihua University.

Aligned with the national emphasis on deepening fiscal and tax system reforms, this competition embodies the principle of “promoting learning and teaching through competition, advancing research through teaching, and fostering application through research.” It aims to enhance students' practical fiscal-tax skills and professional competence, cultivating future talent with solid theoretical grounding and excellent practical ability for the modernization of the fiscal and tax sector.
